My Solution
The solution that I think best fits the lack of parking at the University of Florida is as follows. First the easiest think, and probably a short-term fix, would be to redetermine the proportion of faculty to students at UF and apply this to the available parking spots. A commonality in my interviews is that students would spend hours looking for student parking but would pass by hundreds of available staff parking. Converting some staff spots into student parking could be a short-term solution. A bigger solution, and one that would obviously require more resources is to build another parking garage for students only.
